Why I support Beech Brook

Here’s why I’m giving to Beech Brook

Personal Message - This can be anything you want but here are some ideas and prompts. Feel free to copy/paste any of the suggestions below or take some of the verbiage and add a few sentences about your own connection with this kind of work. You can also insert any additional pictures in this space.

Think about: How are you connected with Beech Brook? Are you passionate about mental health, children/families, social justice, or another area? Why do you support us? Is there a particular program that you really connect with – Mental Health Sessions in schools, Parenting classes, Sex Education, Mentoring, Police Assisted Referrals?

Personal Example –

I am a mom with two young kids and I see every day how important my love and support is for their ability to thrive. When I read to them every night, they are forming attachments and hearing words and stories that help them learn. I hug them when they cry and I tell them I love them about 10 times a day. But unfortunately, not all kids are fortunate enough to grow up with that kind of support. And it’s not because their parents don’t love them – I’m sure they do! But when you are faced with ongoing struggles of living in poverty, like not knowing if you can pay rent or may have your utilities shut off, it can be challenging to be that warm and loving presence for your kids. Some kids have parents who work long hours so they are alone watching their siblings after school. Some kids have a parent who is incarcerated, which brings its own set of challenges. Beech Brook helps these children and their families create a more loving and supportive environment in their homes and communities. The staff at Beech Brook works with them, along with their parents, to help them thrive and build a better foundation for the future…for themselves and for their own kids! Please help me support Beech Brook’s 5K fundraiser – any gift you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Beech Brook generic example:

Beech Brook is a nonprofit organization that provides mental health services for our community’s most vulnerable kids and families and helps them address issues that prevent them from thriving. They work with kids who struggle with their behavior in schools and help them learn critical life skills like conflict resolution and resilience; they teach kids comprehensive sex education and body safety to prevent child abuse; and they provide foster care, teach parenting classes, and help prevent families from being evicted from their homes. And that’s just a few of the ways Beech Brook serves our community! Any amount you can give would go toward this great organization that truly changes the lives of the kids and families who need it most!

Beech Brook generic example #2:

Many of the families Beech Brook serves are living with complex trauma that is just a part of their daily lives. They are faced with the challenges that come from living in poverty - exposure to daily acts of violence, worry over lack of food, housing, or adequate clothing, and going to an under-resourced school. Beech Brook works with these kids and their families to help them cope and ultimately thrive, despite these hardships. Please help me support this great organization – their work is critical to our community!

Beech Brook generic example #3:

I’m walking (or running) to help people like Iris – watch a former client describe Beech Brook’s impact on her life in this video!

Once you create your personal message, you will have the option to Join a Team Fundraiser. Select one of the drop-down options – if you join a team, all the donations you receive through your fundraising page will also go toward the Team Fundraiser goal.
