THANK YOU!

Thank you to those who supported the Bash!

Every child deserves a safe, stable, and nurturing home — and foster care helps make that possible during times of transition. When children are unable to remain with their families, foster care provides temporary support while families work toward reunification or permanency.

At Beech Brook, foster care is also a pathway to healing. Many of the children we serve have experienced trauma and need not only a loving home, but caregivers who are supported in helping them heal.

Children enter foster care for many reasons, often through no fault of their own. With the right support, these children can heal, grow, and thrive. Foster parents play a powerful role in helping children feel safe, rebuild trust, and move forward with hope.

Therapeutic Foster Care at Beech Brook

Beech Brook specializes in therapeutic foster care, which provides children with higher emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs the opportunity to heal in a family setting. Foster parents receive additional training and support to help children work through challenges related to trauma, loss, or disrupted relationships.

Therapeutic foster care combines the warmth of a family home with access to mental health expertise, helping children:

  • Feel safe and understood
  • Build emotional regulation and trust
  • Strengthen relationships with caring adults
  • Make progress toward reunification or permanency

If you’ve ever considered becoming a foster parent, this could be the moment to learn more. In Ohio, more than 16,000 children are in need of foster care—but there are only about 7,200 licensed foster homes.
