Being a great foster parent means continuing to learn and grow.
Foster Parents are required to complete a minimum of 45 hours of continuing training every two years. Beech Brook offers classes that follow the State of Ohio’s rules for licensing foster parents as well as the specialized training needed to understand childhood trauma and provide a therapeutic and healing home environment. Training can be completed in person, virtually/live synchronous or independently.
Beech Brook Ongoing Training Options
Beech Brook offers both morning and evening classes on the second Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise noted). The same topics are covered in both sessions, so you can choose the time/location that is most convenient to you:
Please register at least 24 hours in advance with Susan Everiss at 216.831.2255 or severiss@beechbrook.org.
