Short-term care for a child - and a break for their caregiver
Caring for a child with behavioral or mental health challenges can be overwhelming—and every family needs support.
Beech Brook’s Respite Care Program provides short-term, supportive care for children under age 21 who are enrolled in OhioRISE. Designed to give primary caregivers a needed break, respite care ensures children continue to receive safe, attentive support in a familiar environment.
Care is tailored to each family and may take place in the home or community, helping children stay engaged in daily routines and activities while receiving consistent, supportive care.

Taking time to rest and recharge isn’t a luxury—it’s essential. Respite care helps reduce stress for caregivers, supports children in maintaining stability, and can help prevent the need for more intensive services.
