When Community Connects, Families Thrive
Some Beech Brook services are accessed through referrals from partner agencies such as county child welfare departments, courts, and schools. These programs support families who are involved in those systems and are typically part of a larger case plan focused on safety, stability, and reunification.
While families cannot enroll in these services directly, they play an important role in helping parents and children maintain connections, strengthen relationships, and move toward long-term family stability.
The Nurturing Parenting Program is an early intervention and prevention program designed to strengthen parenting skills, build healthy family relationships, and support long-term family stability.
This structured program provides personalized support for parents through a combination of individual sessions and small online groups. Parents work one-on-one with a trained facilitator to build skills in positive discipline, communication, emotional regulation, and creating safe, nurturing home environments.
Participation in this program requires a referral from the Cuyahoga County Division of Child and Family Services.
If you believe this program may be appropriate for your family, please speak with your county caseworker or service provider.

Beech Brook’s Police-Assisted Referral (PAR) Program is a referral-only service that connects individuals and families to supportive resources after contact with law enforcement. When officers identify someone who may benefit from additional support, they can make a direct referral to the program.
Through PAR, participants are connected with services that help address underlying challenges such as stress, family conflict, mental health needs, or other barriers that can lead to repeated police involvement. By responding with support rather than punishment alone, the program helps stabilize families, strengthen neighborhoods, and build positive relationships between community members and law enforcement.
Because referrals come directly from law enforcement partners, the PAR Program is not open for direct public registration, but it plays an important role in supporting individuals and creating safer communities.

When children are temporarily removed from their parents’ care, maintaining safe and meaningful connections is critical. Supportive Visitation provides supervised visits between parents and children while families work toward reunification.
Beech Brook staff facilitate visits in a structured, supportive setting and provide coaching to help parents strengthen their interactions with their children and build positive parenting skills.
The goal is to support families as they make progress toward safe reunification.
Participation is arranged through referrals from county child welfare partners as part of a family’s case plan.
