Helping kids build confidence and manage big emotions
Beech Brook is launching a new small-group program to help children build the skills they need to manage stress, emotions, and everyday challenges.
This structured program is designed for youth who may be struggling with anxiety, strong emotions, or difficult experiences and could benefit from extra support in a safe, caring environment. Led by Beech Brook’s trained behavioral health professionals, children will learn practical tools to help them feel more confident, calm, and connected.

Through engaging activities and supportive group discussions, children will:
Sessions are designed specifically for elementary-age children and may include hands-on activities, creative expression, structured peer interaction, and skill-building exercises that make learning feel approachable and fun.
👨👩👧👦 Who: Youth entering 3rd - 5th grade and enrolled in Medicaid
📅 When: Summer 2026* | June 8th–August 6th
Monday–Thursday, 2.5 hours per day
*Program will also be available in the fall!
Tuesday–Thursday, 3:30–5:00 PM (after school)

This program provides a supportive space where children can grow, connect with peers, and build skills that help them succeed at home, in school, and in life.

When children struggle with big emotions or stress, it can show up in every part of their lives—at school, at home, and in their relationships. Without the right support, these challenges can grow over time.
Early, structured support helps children build the skills they need to understand their feelings, manage reactions, and stay connected to others. Programs like Day Treatment give children a safe space to practice these skills with guidance—so they can feel more confident, capable, and ready to succeed.
