Kimberly Weltman, MSSA, LISW-S, has been promoted to the role of Executive Vice President at Beech Brook, a non-profit mental health agency providing services to vulnerable children and families throughout Northeast Ohio. Previously, Kim was the Senior Director of Foster Care and has worked at Beech Brook for over 20 years. In her new role, she will maintain her duties in Foster Care and will also take responsibility for Community-Based Programs, Family Health (Prevention and Early Intervention), Outpatient, Clinical Services, and the Medical Department.

Kim was born in Cleveland and grew up in Shaker Heights, where she currently resides. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing from the University of Arizona and her Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve in 1995. She started at Beech Brook in July of 1997.

At Beech Brook, she has worked in many different capacities including Case Manager/Therapist and Project Manager in Foster Care, Supervisor in School-Based services and Assistant Vice President of Community-Based programs which included School-Based, REACH, Outpatient, Family Preservation, and Early Childhood. As Assistant Vice President, she grew Beech Brook’s School-Based program from 23 schools to 81 schools in four years.

Kim was part of Beech Brook’s strategic planning team in 2014, participated in CWRU’s "Women who Lead" Series in 2013, and has been part of the advisory board at Ursuline College since 2015.

In April of 2016, Kim left Beech Brook to work at another non-profit as their Division Director of Foster Care and Specialty Services where she spearheaded an innovative partnership with Senders Pediatrics to provide leadership development to newly promoted operational staff.

In 2018, Kim ventured into the for-profit space as Vice President of Client Engagement for a Pittsburgh-based cyber security company where she was the lead for business development and customer engagement.

In August of 2021, Kim returned to Beech Brook to become the Senior Director of Foster Care. Most recently, the Foster Care Program was awarded Beech Brook’s “2022 Program of the Year” due to increasing their census of children and improving recruitment of foster parents, along with better productivity and timeliness of documentation.

Kim says, “Beech Brook is my family, not just a place to work. Their mission and vision ring true to my passions. In my 20 years of service, Beech Brook always follows through with what they say they are going to do. I am proud to be part of the Beech Brook family.”
