At Beech Brook’s 172nd Annual Meeting held on September 26, 2024, the Community Partnership Award was presented to Ohio Children’s Trust Fund Great Lakes Regional Prevention Council [OCTF].

Beech Brook's partnership with OCTF began at a time when new collaborations were particularly difficult – at the height of the COVID pandemic when face-to-face meetings were all but impossible. But OCTF wanted to ensure that the children and families got the help the needed, especially during a worldwide pandemic. As Ohio’s only public funding source dedicated solely to preventing child abuse and neglect, OCTF became an ideal partner in supporting Beech Brook’s prevention programming. And now, thanks to the funding provided by OCTF, Beech Brook’s Parent Café series, CONNECT© parenting classes, and Stewards of Children – all programs that educate and support parents to prevent abuse and neglect – are free for participants.

Stephanie Pennza, the Great Lakes Region’s Community Outreach Coordinator, and Nicole Sillaman, OCTF’s Executive Director, accepted the award on behalf of their organization.

We are so grateful for Ohio Children's Trust Fund Great Lakes Regional Prevention Council's ongoing support of Beech Brook's mission to help children and families thrive!
