Did you know that 1 in 5 children experiences a mental health concern each year? Early diagnosis and treatment can make a lifelong difference.

There are many reasons why families seek outpatient services. Their children may be having behavior problems at school or at home. They may have experienced trauma or loss or family conflicts.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), behavior problems, anxiety and depression are the most commonly diagnosed mental health problems in children.

When children are struggling with these or other problems, Beech Brook’s outpatient therapy can help them get back on track.

Outpatient services are available for children up to age 18, as well as for their parents, if they choose.

When a child is referred to Beech Brook, our therapists will conduct a diagnostic assessment to help determine the best treatment plan, including individual and family therapy and case management services.

Common diagnoses include:

  • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Mood Disorders
  • Behavior Disorders
  • Anxiety
  • Adjustment Reactions
  • Post-Traumatic Stress
