Beech Brook Property Sold to Heritage Classical Academy
Heritage Classical Academy, a private, classical Christian school, has purchased the former Beech Brook property of approximately 65 acres at 3737 Lander Road in Pepper Pike, Ohio. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"Originally established as an orphanage, Beech Brook has thrived for over 170 years by adapting to changing community needs," said Tom Royer, CEO and president of Beech Brook. "After owning the property for more than 100 years, this sale enables us to find a headquarters that is closer to more of the clients we serve while also providing funds that will help us reach even more families in need.”
The majority of the proceeds from the property sale will be placed in Beech Brook’s endowment to support its mission of helping children and families thrive.
Heritage will establish a new pre-K-12 campus in Pepper Pike, utilizing existing buildings and merging students from their Bainbridge and Northfield locations. Heritage emphasizes the importance of an education rooted in biblical truth and classical pedagogy within the framework of a Christ-exalting classroom.
“We are excited to purchase this beautiful property with such a rich history of serving children and families for over 100 years. At our new Pepper Pike location, we desire to establish Heritage and classical Christian education for future generations,” said David Nees, Head of School. “We acknowledge God’s goodness and faithfulness to us and look forward to partnering with more families for the sake of the gospel.”
