Beech Brook, a behavioral health agency based in Pepper Pike, has been designated as one of Northeast Ohio’s Top Workplaces for the second year running. The yearly awards, presented by The Plain Dealer and cleveland.com, are based on feedback from an organization’s employees.

“We are honored to receive this designation for a second year, especially in light of the pandemic and the challenges that brought for our staff,” Tom Royer, Beech Brook president/CEO, said. “It is so rewarding to know that even when our staff members have been separated from each other and have had to find new ways to serve our children and families, they have continued to feel engaged and supported by our organization. I’m so proud of our staff and thankful for the work they do every day to make Beech Brook a Top Workplace.”

Royer said this year Beech Brook also earned a Culture Badge, scoring in the 98th percentile nationwide for “Leaders in the Know.” According to the Top Workplaces website, this award is earned by organizations “where leaders are clued-in, are in touch with what’s really happening day in and day out, value employee feedback and use those insights to make people-informed decisions.”

“Earning this culture badge designation is truly a credit to everyone who serves in a leadership role at Beech Brook, including our Board of Directors,” said Royer.

The winners were announced on June 24, and all will be featured in the Sunday, June 27, edition of The Plain Dealer.

Founded in 1852, Beech Brook is a nonprofit, behavioral health organization that serves more than 14,000 children and families each year through more than 40 programs, nearly 100 school partnerships, foster care and its Family Center which provides parent education, early intervention and family support services Learn more at www.beechbrook.org.
