If you’ve been thinking of becoming a foster parent or adoption, you’ve already done the hard part. The next step is easy.

To learn more, request an Information Packet below or contact Beech Brook’s Recruiter, Don Smith, at 216.545.4398 or dsmith2@beechbrook.org to register for a free information session. These sessions are scheduled at your convenience. You’ll learn more about the children who are waiting for families and the steps you’ll need to take to become a foster parent.

Please note that if you have a partner, spouse, or co-parent who lives in your home, they will also have to attend an information session.

Beech Brook’s training classes follow the State of Ohio’s rules for licensing foster parents, along with the specialized training needed to understand childhood trauma and provide a therapeutic and healing home environment.

Our foster parents receive extensive training and support, including:

  • Intensive initial training
  • Ongoing monthly training
  • Experienced foster parent mentors for guidance and support
  • Respite services, in and out of the home
  • Wraparound services
  • 24-hour emergency support
  • Case management
  • Competitive pay
  • Holiday parties and activities for families and children
  • And more!

Beech Brook also provides services for youth ages 18-21 who are aging out of foster care through Ohio’s Bridges program which provides the support they need to make a successful transition into adulthood.
